From Central Texas
Roots music with space to wander.
Stone Wheels makes cosmic Americana from Central Texas, bringing country songwriting together with roots rock, psychedelic color and an open-ended approach to arrangement.
Led by songwriter Andrew Gerfers, the band emerged from the Austin music community and released its self-titled debut album in 2018. Since then, Stone Wheels has built a substantial live history across Austin and the Texas Hill Country, from clubs, breweries and outdoor stages to festival appearances.
The catalog has continued to expand through releases including From the Forest to the Sea, the single “High in the 90’s,” and 2026’s six-song Lo-Res Treads. Through it all, Stone Wheels remains rooted in Central Texas: songs grounded in country and Americana, with enough room left open for the music to wander.
